In 2013 Chris made his professional stage debut with his one-man show originally called "An Evening with Charles Dickens". The full show lasts 90 minutes, not including the interval. The show was well received in the North East, North West, Yorkshire and the south of England (London and Brighton). Like Charles Dickens himself, Chris gives "animated readings" from Dickens novels to illustrate many of the well-known characters. Like Dickens, Chris does not just read - he acts out the parts. Chris is happy to give shorter versions of his show. After two successful years performing his one man show now called "The Genius of Charles Dickens" at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe, Chris is again at the Fringe for a third year, but at a new venue
